The Chinese entertainment industry has its eyes on EXO’s Lay.

Chinese film director Gao Xixi wrote on his Weibo on July 30, “I recently came to know a young man with extraordinary talent. His name is Zhang Yixing (Lay) and he is into creating music. I would like to work with him in two of the movies that I will be starting soon,” sending out a love call to the EXO member.

Lay put up the director’s post on his Weibo and wrote, “Thank you director Gao Xixi for your high opinion of me. I will continue to work hard, with the hopes of working with you.”

EXO - 140726 TV Report: “EXO, Reality Show ‘EXO 90:2014’… August 15th First Broadcast Date Confirmed”

Through a reality program, EXO will bring the 90’s to the year 2014, and reveal a new charm.

On the 26th, Mnet unveiled the concept of EXO’s new reality show ‘EXO 90:2014’. ‘EXO 90:2014’ will be a variety program about EXO reviving and connecting K-Pop from the 90’s with people around the globe, while working with top seniors who have steadily protected the music industry; together, they will shed a new light on the classics and culture of those times.

In particular, EXO is planning to create a new ‘2014 version’ music video for the seniors’ classic songs, in order to show off their hidden charms. Anticipating which classic song will give birth to a new music video, the EXO members relayed through the crew that “[They] feel a responsibility to showcase their seniors’ songs well through a 2014 version”.

The crew said that “When it comes to the leading role within a program presenting Hallyu (Korean Wave) from the 90’s through to 2014, top idol group EXO is the one that comes to mind as the most qualified. Leading the Hallyu Wave, EXO and the leaders from the 90’s - who brought zest to K-Pop - will gather in one place in time, to revive styles and memories, and bridge the gap between generations.
