"EXO won the ‘Golden Disk Daesang’ at the 28th Golden Disk Awards.

The Golden Disk Awards was held at Kyunghee University’s Grand Peace Palace in the afternoon of the 16th. For the second half of the show, the hosts were SNSD’s Taeyeon and Tiffany, along with Oh Sangjin.

In the past year, EXO’s XOXO album, released in June, sold 471,570 copies, and the repackaged album released in August, sold 536,007, giving a total of over a million albums. This achievement of selling a million albums was the first in the last 12 years, unseen since Kim Gunmo’s 7th album and GOD’s 4th album, back in 2001.

EXO has swept all the grand awards from many prestigious award ceremonies held last year, including the grand award at the Golden Disk Award, rising to the title of the best artists of Korea along with many legend artists.
